Gateway Terminals LLC
Harvestone Group solidifies its position as an industry leader in the low carbon biofuels space through strategic investments. In 2021, Harvestone Group acquired Gateway Terminals, a key supplier of low carbon fuels along the Mississippi River in Sauget, Illinois. With the facility comprising of four 100k barrel tanks and offering both barge and unit train access, Gateway Terminals enables efficient transportation of products to and from the Gulf region.
Harvestone Low Carbon Partners LP
Harvestone Low Carbon Partners (HLCP) was established in 2022 through a partnership between Harvestone Group and Energy Capital Partners (ECP). ECP is a prominent investor in energy transition, electrification, and decarbonization infrastructure assets. The primary objective of HLCP is to actively contribute to the decarbonization of the U.S. industrial sector. To further this goal, HLCP acquired Midwest AgEnergy (MAG), which is the owner of the Blue Flint Ethanol and Dakota Spirit AgEnergy ethanol plants situated in North Dakota. Additionally, HLCP also acquired Iroquois Bio-Energy Company (IBEC), an ethanol plant located in Indiana. HLCP is actively developing infrastructure projects at each location to capture and permanently sequester the CO2 that is generated in the ethanol production process, which will result in producing some of the world's lowest carbon renewable fuels.
